Works: Soil nails to stabilise existing wall.

Project Details:

The works consisted of the design and installation of 20 self – drilling soil nails to a depth of 4.0mtrs to an existing garden wall on a busy main road on the outskirts of Plymouth. Due to the proximity of pedestrians we came up with a recessed bearing plate with the nut and soil nail encapsulated within a welded steel sleeve with only a flat round plate in evidence on the wall . After pre coring was completed an excavator mounted short mast with a rotary percussive drill head was used to install the soil nails. The works were completed within the three day time period allowed.
