Project: Nine Elms Vauxhall

Works: Waterproofing by drilling and grouting to existing buried retaining walls.

Equipment used: Rotary percussive track mounted drill rig

Project Details:

C & J Geotechnical Services were contracted to design and install a waterproofing system to the connections to a number of diaphragm walls , sheet pile walls and secant piled walls to enable the excavation of a massive basement close to the river Thames in Vauxhall. The drill had to overcome a series of obstructions and Thames gravels before terminating in the underlying London clay. The excavations are as expected (dry) with minimal water seepage enabling our client to carry on with their works.
